Our plans for 2011/12

At a well attended AGM At Sudeley Castle in March, Chairman Roger Paine set out a proposed programme of work for the Forum's Executive Committee for 2011/12.

  • Over the 12 months to April 2012 the Forum plans to:
  • Develop the website via a new provider to one which is easier to navigate, update and is more user-friendly.
  • Prepare, consult on and deliver a Winchcombe Marketing Strategy and Action Plan.
  • Promote, organise and deliver hanging baskets in the Town Centre.
  • Promote and shape (in consultation with Tewkesbury Borough Council) a successful Business to Business (B2B) event.
  • Promote a successful Festival of Music & Arts and deliver a Street Fair.
  • Develop key relationships further and influence allies/partners.
  • Increase membership numbers to 120.
  • Organise five small group networking meetings for members.
  • Organise one successful social event.
  • Review and update the list of membership benefits.

In addition to these 10 targets, steps will be taken to improve member communication, organise an expanded Christmas Late Night Shopping Street Festival and support an Autumn Continental Street Market.

At mid August the upgraded website and the Marketing Strategy (the two major projects for the year) are both on track.  A Business Plan encompassing all of the above will be presented to the March 2012 AGM.
