The Business Forum Executive Committee

The Forum Executive Committee is elected by the AGM in March.  We meet monthly and in order to demonstrate our accountability and encourage more involvement and opportunities for feedback.  We have also established a pattern of a six-monthly open sessions for all members.  The current Committee Members are:

Roger Paine (Chairman)
Roger has lived in Winchcombe for 12 years.  He is a former public sector chief executive and founder of a UK consultancy company.  Roger now works with top managers as a facilitator, trainer and coach. Roger is also Chairman of the Winchcombe Festival of Music & Arts and is a keen musician.

Nicola Ball
Nicky has been running the Lady Jane Tea Rooms in Winchcombe with her partner Kevin for the past seven years offering a wide range of home produced cakes and traditional fayre. Nicky is a keen dog walker enjoying many of the fantastic views Winchcombe and the surrounding areas have to offer. Nicky organised the hanging baskets for the town and liased with "Winchcombe Walkers are Welcome" and town businesses.

Vince Royle (Membership Secretary)
Vince has lived all his life in Winchcombe.  He and his wife Jane own and run the Cotswold Eye Care Centre.  He is our longest serving Forum Committee Member and is also a longstanding member of the Town Trust. Vince and Jane are both supportive of and organise the Late Night Shopping event in December.

Kate Doherty
Kate was born and raised in Winchcombe.  Six years ago she established Cottage Canine Grooming, which has gone from strength to strength and offers a range of pet care services.  It is Kate’s passion for the Town and her wish to see business flourish here that encouraged her to join the Forum.

Elaine Foster
Elaine has lived in Winchcombe for 10 years. She works full time with her husband Alan running a tour company and providing accommodation for visitors in the centre of Winchcombe.   Elaine organised the Business Forum stand at the Country Show and has been a member of the sub-group responsible for the new website.

Alan Foster
Alan has lived in Winchcombe for 10 years. Alan is a London Driver Guide and runs a tour company with his wife, Elaine. Alan enjoys sharing his love of English history and places with the visitors he welcomes on his tours.  Alan was elected to the Committee at the last AGM and is part of the Marketing sub-group and is keen to promote businesses in Winchcombe and the website.

Ros Martin (Treasurer)
Ros has lived in Winchcombe for 12 years.  She runs a business providing tax consultancy and training services having initially trained with HM Inland Revenue.  Ros is part of the Marketing sub-group and successfully organised the Street Fayre in May 2011 as part of the Winchcombe Festival of Music & Arts.

Steve Meredith
Steve was born in Winchcombe with family roots going back at least four generations.  Steve and his brother currently run Rapport Interior Design in the town, established by his parents some 29 years ago.  Steve, with his step-daughter Emma, has recently founded a new company (also based in Winchcombe) called "Lift the Lid - creative eco-paints"  Steve is a member of the Forum marketing sub-group and supportive of the Festival of Music & Arts.

Malcolm Simpson (Vice Chairman)
Malcolm lives and works in Winchcombe and runs his own financial business (Ashley Law).  He is married to Jane who runs the "Winds of Change" gallery on Hailes Street.

Martin Williams
Martin opened the Food Fanatics Delicatessen on North Street in 2004.  He’s been an active member of the Business Forum since that time.  In 2010 he led on the Spring Clean and Hanging Baskets initiatives.

Katie Anson (Administrator)
Katie has lived in Winchcombe for over 11 years.  She provides administrative services for a range of organisations and has also been involved in a variety of voluntary activities for the primary school.  Katie was also a member of the Festival of Music & Arts committee.
