AND SOME THINGS TO DO BEFORE THE SHOW DATE

FLOWER SHOW

There is a separate Flower Show Schedule which provides full details of the competitive exhibits held in the marquee.

These Schedules will be available from Keeling Newsagents, the Post Office, Phoenix Bookshop, Hailes Fruit Farm and Winchcombe Library.

Competitions include flowers, vegetables, fruit, cookery, handicraft and junior competitions. There is something for everyone.

You may have the longest runner bean, an interesting photograph, a pretty vase of flowers, the best dressed wellington boot or a tasty jar of homemade jam. You don’t need to be an expert, just follow the Rules in the Schedule, have a go and you may find yourself with a prize!

WATCH OUT!

THERE’S A SCARECROW ABOUT

THE CROWS of Winchcombe are in for an awful fright in August. The 60th anniversary celebrations will start well before the Show with a Scarecrow Competition.

Open to all residents of Winchcombe and surrounding villages within a 3 mile radius.

Build a scarecrow and display it in on or around your house, office, allotment or shop any time in August before the Show.

There is no limit to what form the model can take, the quirkier the better! Visitors will love admiring all your hard work.

Then take a photo of your scarecrow, write your name, address and, if age 11 or under, your age on the back of the photo and bring it to the Show on 31st August where it will be judged and prizes awarded. Photos must be displayed by 10am on the day of the Show.

Even better, bring your scarecrow along with you to the Show to display

It’s time to get started!
