Help For Businesses Affected by the Floods

 Gloucestershire First have details of the Gloucestershire Flood Recovery Scheme for Businesses. The maximum level of grant funding available to an individual company is £2,500 for business advice and physical losses as a direct consequence of the flooding. Details of the scheme can be obtained from Business Link on 0845 600 9006 or from the Gloucestershire First website here.

If you have had to move out of your business property due to flood damage then you may be eligible for relief from paying business rates. Details are here.

You may be able to apply to have the rateable value of your business premises reduced if it is subject to flooding. Contact the Valuation Office Agency.

Federation of Small Businesses members affected by floods can apply to the FSB for an interest free loan. Details here.

HM Revenue & Customs have started a special helpline for anyone affected by the recent floods. There is a range of help on offer including that they will defer collection of taxes and duties or agree instalment arrangements and they will not charge penalties where they are satisfied that customers have missed deadlines as a result of the flooding. Flower Show – Monday 27th August

 Last year we had a small stand at Winchcombe Flower Show where we gave out leaflets and discussed the activities of the Forum with visitors. The stand was manned by Kevin Guyll and Ashley Grainger.

This year we intend to have a larger stand with more space which we hope will be used by our members to market their businesses free of charge. We also want to provide drinks and nibbles for members.
