Welcome to the Winchcombe Business Forum
The Forum is
an independent not-for-profit business association serving businesses
in Winchcombe and District. Our main aims are:
- The promotion and protection of business
- The collection and dissemination of information to members
- To represent members views to local government
- To encourage and support local good causes
We do also have the following member benefits:
- A newsletter providing information on events and updates for Winchcombe and the surrounding area
- Discounted tickets for Forum lunches and seminars
- A free entry on this website
We have a
steering committee that meets regularly to discuss any issues that
may affect business in Winchcombe. If you are interested in
supporting business and the community then join us now. As a member
you will receive invitations to social and business events.
Membership is only £25 per year.

The Forum has campaigned successfully for:
- Lloyds TSB to keep the Winchcombe branch open every weekday
- Free parking to be reinstated in Back Lane Car Park in 1998
- Free parking to be retained in Back Lane Car Park in 2004
(Sadly we finally lost this fight in 2007.)
Other activities and achievements have included:
- Raising funds for local good causes
- Organising the annual Christmas late night shopping
(Part of an ongoing process first started many years ago.)
- Setting up and running the winchcombe.co.uk website
(Members can advertise their business here for free.)
- Representation and consultation with local official bodies including Town,
Borough and County Councils
- Organising Christmas trees and lights
- Assisted in the production of the Winchcombe Business Directory
- Organised and printed the Winchcombe guide
- Helped to establish the Winchcombe Farmers Market
- Helped design the 'Winchcombe a living Cotswold Town' leaflet
- Promoting local activities to local press
Regular events have included:
- Christmas Charity Ball – a fun event that raises money for local
good causes – use this as your 'company do'
- Speaker lunches and seminars – an opportunity to meet local businesses and
learn at the same time
- Summer family BBQ – social event and great opportunity to get to know local
people
- Cheese and Wine at Sudeley Castle
