Winchcombe's White Squirrel
There's a very unusual visitor in the back gardens around Chandos Street / North Street. If you see something white and fluffy in or around your garden then it may not be a cat. We think it's a female as she has been seen "frolicking" with a male grey squirrel. George Rayson, who took this picture using a Nikon Coolpix P300, has also seen a pair of bullfinch recently which we understand is a rare occurrence in a British garden. We are hoping for a picture of these sometime soon.
If you see our lovely white squirrel then email us on info@winchcombe.co.uk- it will ill be interesting to see how far she travels in search of food. And if you can send us a photo that would be even better.
Further sightings are reported in Willett Gardens, Greet Road and Gretton Road. Keep them coming - and look at the piece on the website too about the idea of establishing a "Nature Notebook".
