Homeworkers

The Homeworkers group is to provide a networking opportunity for local business owners who work from home; to build relationships; to support each other; provide information as well as understanding the support available via the Winchcombe Business Forum.homeworkers

The aim is to meet every 4th Tuesday in the month at the White Hart varying between an 8.00am start and lunchtime meetings to support people who have children at school. The meetings last one hour.

Business Over Breakfast Club

A new Business over Breakfast networking club is in place now for small businesses and Homeworkers in the area. It is a non-profit making group that will meet fortnightly in the Rising Sun Hotel on Cleeve Hill, and is open to self-employed people and small companies in the Winchcombe, Bishops Cleeve and Woodmancote areas.

Starting at 6.45am the event will offer the chance to meet like-minded independant business people and home based workers, exchange details, discuss work, and enjoy a Continental or full English breakfast. It islikely to last until 8.30am. The first three sessions will be free with breakfast at £10. After 3 sessions a membership fee of £50 pa will apply.

Grants for Homeworkers

Katie Power, Economic Development Officer from Tewkesbury Borough Council has given information about the Business Grant Scheme especially for Homeworkers.

There are match funded grants available for start-ups and growing businesses, in particular with help for marketing, website design, marketing literature, marketing research projects. Refer to www.tewkesbury.gov.uk/business-support. There is a working from home grant form available to down load.
