Join Sudeley Castle on 5-6 September for their Katherine Parr Weekend, where historical re-enactors will bring the past to life with Katherine Parr, her Tudor ladies and Thomas Seymour appearing on both days.
On 5th September 1548 Katherine Parr died at Sudeley Castle following childbirth. Mostly remembered simply as Henry VIII’s final wife, she was so much more than that. Meet with the historical group throughout the weekend to discover more about Queen Katherine Parr and her life as the surviving queen. Visitors will be able to interact with the historical re-enactors, ask questions and take photos in a safe manner. Book Tickets here.
Visitors can also explore the Castle’s exhibition rooms for an insight into the life of Katherine Parr, and her involvement with Sudeley Castle, including the re-discovery of her tomb and precious artefacts such as her prayer book with hand-written notes and her letters.
