Knit & Natter Sale
Winchcombe Knit and Natter, group which used to meet in the library pre-Covid are having a pop up sale and exhibition in the Museum on Saturday 1 May, 10 am – 4 pm. They will be showing off their wares made during lockdown and proceeds from anything sold will go to buy more wool.
The 26 members knit all sorts of lovely things, giving their time for free and donating their knitted items to various charities.
Their knitted items are donated to:
The Mission for Seafarers (hats and neck warmers)
Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, Windsor (small blankets
The Baby Bank in Gloucester (blankets and baby clothes) that are sent to communities in Africa.
They are also appealing for donation of unwanted wool. This can be dropped off at the pop-up shop during the day.
