Outdoor Theatre at Sudeley Castle

The Duke’s Theatre Company invite you to join them this summer at the Outdoor Theatre at Sudeley Castle, where they will be performing the romantic comedy Twelfth Night, on Sunday, 27th July, 7pm, (gates open 6pm).
Whether you’re an audience member in 2023 or back in 1602, you could be forgiven for thinking that Twelfth Night was going to be the darkest of tragedies: what could be more nightmarish than to lose your twin sibling in a furious storm at sea and to think they’d died?
In fact, a romantic comedy unfolds with a madcap farce at its heart. The broadest of broad humour.

Full details & tickets.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Cotswold Hills, Sudeley Castle sets a striking backdrop for this performance.

The Castle has played an important role in the turbulent and changing times of England’s past, with royal connections stretching back 1000 years. Richard III, Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and Charles I all played their part in defining the Castle’s history, and Tudor queen and last of Henry VIII’s wives, Katherine Parr, is laid to rest in the castle’s Church. This performance takes place within the atmospheric Banqueting Hall ruins.
