21 Jan Winchcombe Live Blues Festival
Winchcombe Live Blues Festival
Welcome to the second fantastic Winchcombe Live Blues Festival, 27 -29 March. If you haven’t been to any of these sessions before, you’ve missed out on some great music. The acts this year all play what could loosely be described as “Americana”.
The Thomas Atlas Band will be playing at the White Hart on Friday 27 March (entrance £12). Thomas played in a four piece last year, but this time he will be joined by a brass section and treat the audience to some funk and soul.
The Achievers will be making their Winchcombe debut on 28 March at the White Hart, (entrance £10). Doors open for both these events at 8.15pm.
Tickets are available from the Old Bakery Tearooms, Winchcombe, and also via email so we can e-mail our bank details to allow BACS payment.
In addition to these acts there will be free live music at Rosie’s Bar, the Old Bakery as well as the White Hart on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons, all be in aid of a local charity. Check out the fabulous pics from last years festival here.
Dave Wade from the committee says that there is a lot of interest in the event from musicians who enjoy the opportunity to play in smaller venues. “So much blues is played in pubs to a crowd that isn’t really listening but Winchcombe Live provides a great atmosphere for both musos and audience alike.”
