Inspire the next generation of Young Engineers

We have volunteers carrying out a variety of roles across our railway – signalling, catering services, carriage cleaning, carriage & wagon, and within our steam and diesel departments. Without, our volunteers we wouldn’t be operational. Our Young Engineers event is designed to inspire young minds, fostering a passion for steam engines and heritage railways. Working in partnership with local businesses we will be delivering hands-on experiences, workshops, and wisdom from our volunteers. We aim to empower aspiring engineers to dream big and reach for the stars and maybe in time come and volunteer with us.

Entrance is free.

The event is suitable for ages 5-25!
