In 1997 a hoard of late medieval coins were unearthed in Winchcombe at a construction site. Why were they buried nearly 400 years ago? What was happening in Winchcombe at that time? Come and find out and see 120 of these stunning coins on display

Housed in the former Town Hall, our friendly, volunteer-led Museum brings to life the town’s long and rich history, and gives the chance to explore, enjoy and be inspired by the past in and around this ancient Cotswold town. There is no entrance charge, but as a registered charity we rely on donations, so your generosity can help us to continue our work.
