Artistically and lovingly created 1½ acre garden surrounding restored Georgian/Tudor house (not open). Relaxed country style with Japanese influences, large pond, sculpture and a walled vegetable/flower garden, all created over 30 yrs from a blank canvas. Mature copper beech trees, Cedar of Lebanon and Wellingtonia; and younger trees replacing an earlier excess of Cupressus leylandii.

Garden created over 30 years on a blank canvas apart from a few spectacular mature trees. These are a Cedar of Lebanon, 3 copper beeches and Wellingtonia. As our knowledge and understanding of the site and the soil has developed, the 1½ acres has matured into a wonderful backdrop of colour and texture from new trees, shrubs and perennials with sculpture highlights. It sets off a restored Georgian/Tudor house (not open). We have been influenced by the gardening skills of our parents, by our travels and by our desire to plant for scent and to attract wildlife. A trip to Japan led to the creation of a large pond in front of the house. Once we had a London allotment; now we have a walled vegetable and flower garden which helps feed us and provide flowers for cutting. In June, we have roses, clematis and lavender to give colour and attract bees. We are almost totally organic with plenty of wildlife in every part of the garden.
