Winchcombe Country Show
This year, Winchcombe Country Show will be celebrating its 70th Anniversary. Please come and join our celebrations for a fantastic day out at Winchcombe School Playing Fields on Bank Holiday Monday 26 August. This year will be marking the 50th Anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 landing on the moon.
There will be a traditional flower show with many prize winning exhibits to see, great entertainment for all, local foods to sample and lots of stalls selling local crafts and gifts.
The annual procession through Winchcombe will start at 11.30am from the Abbey Field Community Centre in Back Lane. There will be vintage tractors, fancy dress contestants and the Happenstance Border Morris Dancers. The procession will arrive at the show site for the opening for the show at 12.00 noon.
The Winchcombe Country Show is a traditional event with the Flower Show at its heart. There will be a variety of classes in the show including floral displays, arts, crafts, photography, cookery and preserves with over 50 cups to win.
This year’s main event will be an incredible BMX show where the riders will fly through the air performing the most breath taking tricks and stunts.
Entertainment is provided for everyone throughout the day. There will be a traditional Punch and Judy Show, street entertainment, go karting and much, much more.
The show will also feature many stalls selling gifts and produce alongside stalls providing you with information about local charities, clubs and activities that are in the area.
Dog friendly games will include dog scurry, terrier racing and dog displays. Please bring your dogs with you.
To keep you going through the day, there will be various refreshment stands including a tea tent serving delicious homemade cakes. There will also be a licensed bar.
Tickets cost £5 per adult and £2 per child. Family tickets (two adults and up to three children) will be £12.
On Sunday 25 August prior to the show there will be the Run Winchcombe Event at Sudeley Castle featuring a 5k fun run, a 10k hill climb to Belas Knapp for the more adventurous and a 1k for 10s and under.
Please come along and support this traditional country show. Profits raised from the show are donated to local charities and organisations.
